Christine Ott is a virtuoso on the Ondes Martenot and a talented pianist and composer. Classically trained, she toured with Yann Tiersen for ten years, and has also collaborated with Jean-Philippe Goude, Tindersticks and Oiseaux-Tempête. In recent years, she has concentrated mainly on her solo career and film music. Her work as a composer is regularly compared to 20th-century French composers (Olivier Messiaen, Claude Debussy, Erik Satie) as well as pioneers of electronic music such as Laurie Spiegel, Wendy Carlos and Suzanne Ciani.
