Who Parked The Car is an ever-shifting blend of soul, jazz, funk and electronica.
The 8-piece band is made up of young musicians coming from France and Latin America (Argentina, Honduras). They enjoy taking elements from jazz and popular styles of music to explore a wide variety of grooves, textures and emotions.
Snarky Puppy, Louis Cole, Liane La Havas, Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, Earth Wind & Fire, Weather Report, Stevie Wonder, Supertramp, are among the many influences they like to mention.
They released two albums “Mad Weather Good Friends” (2022) and "Broken Glass" (2023).
“The French Jazz octet Who Parked The Car’s debut album is a tastefully funky jazz cocktail. With a perfect blend of funky, uplifting, and soulful emotional ballads this album is an immersive experience.
[…] Everyone in this band is a highly competent musician and they’re even better as a band. After experiencing what they’re sonically capable of, it would not surprise me to see them touring with the big names like Snarky Puppy, Steely Dan, or Metropole Orkest.” - Illustrate Magazine (USA)
“It’s impossible to overstate just how fresh and exciting Who Parked The Car’s sound is. I expect them to make a big splash in the international jazz scene with this debut, and will likely make a lot of fans among those who wouldn’t traditionally follow the genre. Mad Weather Good Friends is a must listen.” - York Calling (UK)
“A fresh wind is blowing through the world of jazz. Who Parked The Car takes us on a journey through a clear-cut album, sometimes groovy, sometimes smooth, sometimes dancing and even moving. A warm and promising cocktail, which comes to life on stage in an energy of love and freedom.” - La Belle Onde (FR)
"Combining impeccable technique and execution with sentiment and taste, Mad Weather Good Friends is a brilliant first official step in the career of a band that has all the tools to go very far. So, make sure to connect with them on social media and keep them close to your radar. The octet [...] may just be the next big thing.” - Right Chord Music (UK)
