Diogo Gomes acts as a trumpeter, arranger, composer and music producer.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, his name is linked to the greatest personalities of Brazilian music, participating in tours with Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Maria Rita, Jorge Ben Jor and Nando Reis.
Having versatility as a brand, he figures from the academic-erudite environment to the pop scene, passing through instrumental music and Brazilian popular music.
With a bachelor's degree in trumpet from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a postgraduate degree in Music Education, he is constantly invited to join the trumpets of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and other symphonic groups. Reference in studio recording, he participated in the CDs of: Gal Costa, Lulu Santos, Adriana Calcanhotto, Gilberto Gil, Martinho da Vila, as well as film soundtracks and TV stations.
In addition to joining Gilberto Gil's band as trumpeter and arranger, Diogo Gomes will soon release his first album entitled TRANSCENDENTAL where he gathers his compositions, showing all his Afro-Brazilian performance and musicality.
