blending stories and feelings through the places I go
Anddre Mafra is an indie-folk artist and music producer, along the lines of Bon Iver and damien rice, who blends loops of sounds, intimate stories and feelings inspired by the places he goes. Originally from Brazil, he’s now based in London (ON).
His previous EPs, all self-produced, include "III" (2021) a visual release blending Portuguese and English songs and Octopios (2020) and VDSF (2019), the latter two entirely in Portuguese.
In 2021 he was selected by the jury as a semifinalist of the EDP festival contest in Portugal. The same year he moved to Canada in order to attend the Music Industry Arts program at Fanshawe in London (ON).
In 2022, He was nominated for the best songwriting Fanshawe College Awards (2022), is one of the artists of the London Arts Council roster, was a participant of the Summer Concert Series, CMI’s Artist Entrepreneur Bootcamp and Spotlight Showcase at the Folk Music Ontario Conference.
With a collaborative project; “Anddre mafra and The Reflections”, the artist and fellow dreamers portray emotional highs and lows of an intimate living room to make you feel at home again.
