Manon The Moon is a french indie pop/folk singer. Born Manon Lardanchet in Lyon in the 80s, she grew up surrounded by jazz and classical musicians in her family. She first focused on ballet and flute throughout childhood while developing a passion for music. At 15 she started vocal lessons, and discovered 60s and 70s folk, rock and soul music. In 2012 she recorded and wrote songs for the play “Dans ta bulle”, and started singing in Lyon jazz club.
While performing jazz, she never lost the idea of recording a pop/folk album. It is with the man that shares her life today, Raymond Rutjes, that she achieved her goal, and became Manon the moon. From their home studio, built from the ground up during Covid, Raymond self recorded, composed and co-wrote the songs.
