Adopting electronic music codes, his stage name eriops has been borrowed to a dinosaur named Eryops. A transitional species which adapted both to the aquatic and terrestrial world. Its distinctive characteristic was to be able to hear sounds (first ears !). The word tie is used to remind the link, the affection for every extinct species.
Like so, eriops tie mention the artist’s adaptability to the surrounding world and his attachment to it.
Coming from a classical and baroque formation, a big fan of Jean-Michel Jarre (since he was 4 years old), this atypical musician-compositor made up his first electronic songs in the 90s. The learning process of oboe, piano and harmony slowly hand over to the use of electronic instruments. In this particular atmosphere, the sound is well-made, made up both numerically and by analog means, respecting the classical composition. The used material will follow the technologic evolutions: analog synthesizers, workstations and hardware sampling; today he arranges and mixes with Ableton Live.
Machin programming is a big part of the artist’s job, always looking for the sound that could be the best match to his message.
His journey and human experiences are the reasons for eriops tie’s desire to deliver a contemporary humanist message. He strives for progress while keeping simple and sincere human values.
This adventurer has been exploring unknown territories for years, along with its synthesizers bringing an important part to analog and raw sounds.
