Reed is a media composer writing for film, web, video games, and other formats with an emphasis on storytelling. In 2020, he founded the production studio Fable Factory, to bring artists from different disciplines together with the goal of telling multimedia stories.
Drawing inspiration and technique from industrial, classical, cinematic, metal, hip-hop, synth, and many other genres, he works to build sound worlds rich with textures that submerse the listener into a mind space reflective of whatever story he's telling.
Reed's most recent release, Cthulhu Dreamt, combines an original short story, art, and music that tells a story of a parent's loss, and their use of science to reunite with their child... to unplanned, and horrific consequences. Created during covid with Jeremy of Moon and Snow, Jake of The Coming Darkness, Nate Berntson, and Benjamin Emory Larson the entire project took four months from concept to completion. The short story is included in the liner notes of the physical and bandcamp release.
Other recent projects include:
Codeburst: A Cyberpunk Soundtrack with long time collaborator Benjamin Emory Larson, a soundtrack and score double album for the multimedia project "CodeBurst"
Anomaly, an OST for a sci-fi TTRPG
Adventures of Gaia, Vol. II (Original Soundtrack) - a curated underscore for a TTRPG web-series
